CANDLE SAFETY
-
Never leave a burning candle unattended. This is the most important rule of candle safety. Always extinguish candles before leaving a room or going to bed.
-
Keep candles and flames away from clothes, curtains, cushions, paper and other flammable materials.
-
Do not put candles under shelves, the heat rises up to the shelf and can cause a fire.
-
Ensure candles are out of reach of children and pets and never leave them alone with burning candles.
-
Do not use candles if you’ve been drinking alcohol or feel sleepy.
-
Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before lighting the candle. A longer wick can cause the candle to burn too quickly or unevenly.
-
Don't burn candles all the way down to the bottom. The heat from the flame can cause the container to crack or break.
-
Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
WAX MELT SAFETY
-
Remove all packaging before placing a segment in the well of your burner.
-
Always use an unscented tea light. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
-
Never leave a wax melt burner unattended. Always extinguish the tea light before leaving a room or going to bed.
-
Keep out of the reach of children and pets. If ingested seek medical advice immediately.
-
Always place on a level heat resistant surface away from open windows and drafts.
-
Do not overfill the bowl.
-
The burner may become hot; do not touch while in use as heated wax can burn. Allow to cool when finished using.
-
If using an electric wax melt burner follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
